This position is responsible for planning, development, implementation and delivery for a product line within a Government segment or line of business (including Health and Wellness) or affiliated companies. The goals and results will align with their portfolio managers overall segment goals in order to achieve enrollment, revenue and profit performance and business results. This person will be responsible for working with the key internal teams (including sales, underwriting, actuarial, operations, channel, marketing communications, finance, IT, etc.) to drive the product plan development and delivery. This will include, but not be limited to, driving market insights into the product line, product life cycle management, market planning, performance monitoring, and strategic integration.
Provide operational and vendor oversight of Medicare supplemental benefits and services. Responsibilities include operational tasks that support supplemental benefit execution, management, and measures of performance.
Works closely with business partners to ensure SLAs, deliverables, compliance requirements and expectations are adequately incorporated into vendor contracts to facilitate the ability to monitor and manage vendor performance.
Communicates with assigned portfolio of vendors to ensure they are properly educated on Blue Cross expectations throughout the lifecycle of the relationship.
Advances an integrated approach to identification and resolution of vendor performance challenges and opportunities in collaboration with Product, Service, Sales, Customer Experience, STARs, and other functional areas.
Leads the execution of various vendor management activities, such as quarterly business reviews, annual vendor reviews, scorecards, as well as other performance management activities and reporting as required.
Determines opportunities and strategies to buy/build/partner decisions to advance the overall product line.
4+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
Excellent product line management skills and supporting project management skills.
Experience managing complex projects involving multiple team members and including task assignment, working with key customers (internal or external), and managing project deliverables.
Strong project management and product integration / delivery skills.
Strategic thinking, analytical, innovation, financial and decision making skills.
Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple audiences.
Skilled at managing products through stage gate development process.
Ability to drive deliverables in a complex, often ambiguous, environment.
Self-directed, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
Self- directed to expand industry best practices to extend to BCBSMN.
Overnight travel is required infrequently.
High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Bachelor's degree.
Product management discipline expertise preferred (ex. Pragmatic Marketing).
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $88,600.00 - $117,400.00 - $146,200.00 Annual
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
