Job Title: Technical Product Owner

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Duration: 12 months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to work closely with cross-functional engineering and business teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience collaborating with development teams, and the ability to translate business requirements into well-defined technical deliverables. Prior retail industry experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the Product Owner for one or more agile development teams

Own and manage the product backlog, including grooming, prioritization, and refinement

Participate in PI planning, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies

Collaborate with engineering teams on technical design discussions and code reviews

Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria

Debug and triage issues across front-end and back-end systems

Partner with stakeholders to align product delivery with business objectives

Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions while managing scope and priorities

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of relevant professional experience

Prior technical or development background with:

.NET

Microsoft Azure

SQL

Hands-on experience working with development teams and participating in code reviews

Strong experience with Agile methodologies, including:

PI Planning

Backlog management

Sprint ceremonies

Experience debugging and troubleshooting both front-end and back-end issues

Retail industry experience (mandatory)

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
