BT-150 – Solution Architect

Skill Level: Senior Manager

Location: Herndon/Chantilly

Role Description

As the Solution Architect, you will be the lead technical authority responsible for designing the end-to-end data and AI architecture for the program. You will provide the expert insights that influence the overall strategy for a scalable, resilient, and secure data ecosystem. Working within the Agile Architecture, Planning, & Execution team, you will establish the technical vision, drive best practices, and ensure that our solutions directly link technology with measurable value.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, data architecture, or a related field.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud-hosted data services and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
• Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and implementing data governance policies.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Palantir.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting the DOW and working with their data platforms.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala, and expert-level SQL skills.
• Experience architecting solutions in high-security environments (e.g., SIPR, JWICS).
• Familiarity with data catalog tools (Collibra, Atlas), MLOps frameworks (MLflow), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and designing architectures for AI/ML model deployment and serving.
