As a Senior Penetration Tester, you will play a crucial role in securing hardware, software, networks, and IoT systems through advanced penetration testing techniques. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, assess risk, and implement solutions that enhance overall security posture. This role combines hands-on technical work with client-facing interactions, including supporting pre-sales efforts and advising on security strategy. You will stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, frameworks, and industry advancements, contributing to continuous improvement of tools, methodologies, and team knowledge. Working remotely within a collaborative and professional environment, your expertise will directly impact the protection of critical systems and sensitive data across a variety of sectors.
· Conduct comprehensive penetration tests across networks, applications, mobile devices, IoT systems, and medical/operational technology.
· Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities while providing actionable remediation recommendations.
· Develop and maintain testing tools, scripts, and methodologies to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
· Provide subject matter expertise during client engagements and occasional pre-sales support.
· Collaborate with teams to enhance testing knowledge, standards, and best practices.
· Communicate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Occasionally perform off-hours work and travel as required to support client needs.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
· Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including network, IT support, Blue Team, or development roles.
· At least 2 years of IoT or medical device penetration testing experience.
· Hands-on experience with penetration testing of software, hardware, firmware, networks, APIs, and mobile applications.
· Strong knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and attack vectors (e.g., OWASP, NIST, ISO).
· Understanding of networking, operating systems (*nix, Mac, Windows), cloud security, and secure development practices.
· Scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, C) are a plus.
· Professional certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, CRTP, or equivalent.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
