Private Kindergarten Lead Teacher

Overview:

Looking for a Private Kindergarten Lead Teacher for our small class for the 2025-2026 school year.

A Private Kindergarten Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, a kindergarten teacher will facilitate the intellectual and social development of the students. Teaching kindergarten includes planning, implementing and assessing students’ progress.

Education Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher degree in early childhood education, elementary education, or child development.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher degree in a related field that includes 18 credits in early childhood education or child development. Related degrees may include elementary education, home economics, child life, psychology, special education or child psychology.
• A valid Ohio State Teaching License/Certificate that includes kindergarten.
• 1 - 3 years experience in an educational classroom setting preferred.

Private Kindergarten Teacher Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:

• Design and follow a complete teaching plan that aligns with the Ohio k-12 teaching standards.
• Teaching alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills.
• Organize learning material and resources.
• Use a variety of activities and instructional methods to motivate and stimulate the children’s abilities.
• Maintain and open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information.
• Assess students’ performance and progress quarterly to ensure that they are mastering the skills on a regular basis.
• Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and learning.
• Cooperate with administration staff.
• Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct and Document parent conference biannually.
• Build relationships with parents and or guardians to ensure exceptional “Customer Service” supplying them with pertinent information.
