About the role
The DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – SwishID is responsible for designing, operating, and securing the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines that support the SwishID identity platform. Reporting to the Head of SwishID and working closely with Identity Platform Engineers, Security, and Backend teams, this role ensures SwishID’s infrastructure is reliable, scalable, secure, and compliant in a global, remote-first environment.
This is a hands-on role focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence for a security-critical platform.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Operations
Design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure for SwishID services
Ensure high availability, resilience, and scalability of identity systems
Manage compute, networking, storage, and supporting cloud services
DevOps, CI/CD & Automation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for identity platform services
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
Support infrastructure-as-code practices and versioned deployments
Security, Reliability & Compliance Support
Implement infrastructure security controls and hardening
Support monitoring, logging, and alerting across environments
Ensure infrastructure meets security, audit, and compliance requirements
Incident Response & Operational Support
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
Support post-incident reviews and reliability improvements
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Maintain infrastructure documentation and runbooks
Improve operational tooling, automation, and observability
Support scalability as platform usage grows
Expectations

Communicate clearly with engineering and security teams
Operate effectively in a fully remote environment
Requirements
Experience
Proven experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles
Experience operating production cloud environments
Experience working in security-sensitive or regulated platforms is an advantage
Experience working in remote or distributed teams preferred
Skills
Strong cloud platform knowledge (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automation tools
Understanding of cloud security and identity concepts
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication abilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Cloud or DevOps certifications preferred but not required
